Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Ruderman family. Aunt Lois’s 100-watt smile will be what we remember most. Her positive, sunny disposition greeted us every time we visited. She was so good-natured and joyful; always learning new things throughout her life, which was completely inspirational. She taught me all about violets when I was in my 20s and stayed at her house for the night during a Chicago visit. Her yard was full of perfectly potted violet flowers. It was due to Lois that African violets were the very first plant I ever purchased and they will remind me of her always. I feel honored to have been one of her many nieces and only wish we lived closer. Her memory will truly be a blessing for all who knew and loved her.
