I'll always respect Henry and the legacy that he has left behind. Once his banker and again later, his customer, he always moved with quiet dignity. If ever there was an exchange executive that spoke softly but carried a big stick, it was Henry. It's refreshing that he enjoyed living 96 years to the fullest. May we all be so fortunate. He is a legend.

A true mensch. I met Henry in 1978, introduced by my mentor and Henry’s partner, Pat Arbor. I was a minor partner in Shatkin Trading at the CME until it was sold to a group out of London. Henry was a standup quiet leader we all looked up to. He lived a full life to the age of 96. We should all be so lucky.

I always admired Hank, specifically his straightforward and honest assessments and opinions. A man of high integrity and great work ethic who helped so many people over the years. He also knew how to have fun in life.
May his memory be a blessing.

I met Henry as an 11 year old very impressionable caddie at Green Acres CC. Not only was he the nicest, most generous member, he was also the coolest. What does this man do to be and live this way? When I learned, that's what I wanted to do. Henry hired me right out of college to work at Shatkin Trading in the back office which ultimately lead to him helping me achieve my goal of being a trader. I am grateful to this day for everything he did for me, I am very fortunate to have known him for so many years, thank you for everything you did for me Henry!
