I remember Matthew as a very articulate, and intelligent , young man. His genealogical endevours demonstrated his profound interest in family history.
He was a second cousin to me, as his paternal great grandmother was my mother's sister. We connected often during his time spent searching family history.
May Matt's memory be a blessing.

Upon marrying our niece Jackie, Matt joined our family as our new nephew. We were pleased to have both Matt and Jackie as guests at our house for most major Jewish holidays and Thanksgiving. I was always pleased when he sat next to me because I enjoyed his wit and intelligent conversation. He never failed to compliment my cooking which I always appreciated. We both shared an interest in genealogy, and we were delighted to find that we were distantly related. Matt treated us like family, as opposed to in laws and we were pleased to have him as a member. I was particularly touched that he offered to help my oldest daughter Hayley when she decided to pursue a career in psychology. He clearly loved Jackie and it is heart breaking that he was so ill, and they did not get to enjoy more of life together. I will forever miss seeing him at my dining room table.
