OBITUARY

Daniel Hoseman, age 86.

Beloved husband of Susan Hoseman nee Myles. Proud father of Larry (Linda) Hoseman, Joan E. (Seiji Hayashi) Myles, Jonathan (Elizabeth) Hoseman. Doting grandfather of James Hoseman, William Hoseman, Tomomi Hayashi, Hazel Hayashi, Kate Hoseman, and Georgia Hoseman. Loving brother of Judy (the late Emanuel) Wexler. Proud alumnus of the University of Illinois where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate. Life-long Cubs fan, enthusiastic bridge player, wine aficionado and devoted family man. His family is proud of his commitment to the community including his term as president of the Chicago Decalogue Society, his volunteer work, and his belief in the importance of social justice. Graveside service Monday, 2 PM at Waldheim Jewish Cemetery (Gate 288) at Harlem and Roosevelt, Forest Park. The family respectfully requests all attendees to be vaccinated and wear masks. My heartfelt condolences to Dan Hoseman's family. I have known Dan for many years, mainly through our involvement at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El. I have always had the greatest respect and affection for Dan. He was a wonderful, warm, gracious, intelligent person with a strong commitment to honesty, Jewish life and ethical values. We will all miss him very much.
