Mike, Jason and family...

I was heartbroken to hear about Alan. He and your mom have been very cherished friends throughout most of my life. I know the past couple of years have not been easy for the family, but please know that you have been and will continue to be in our prayers.

Love to you all,

Juan and I met Alan in Quito,Ecuador.
We enjoyed a wonderful friendship with him and his sisters Jackie and Marina. Per chance we also ended up living in Chicago and would get together in his Skokie home.
Our condolences to all his family

Alan was a dear friend of ours . Just had lunch with him a few days before this tragic accident. We would speak for an hour or more on the phone where we would commiserate about the ills of the world.
We also remember wonderful bar bqs and enjoying his flowers in the beautiful garden. And we would never leave without him picking tomatoes for us to take home.
When the ladies played bridge in the Shlau home they were always assured of an assortment of noshes that Alan just bought.
He was a kind and gentle sole and a dear friend.
Our condolences to the family.

Condolences to all the family
Alan was a dear cousin whom I knew mainly through letters from his mother Bella and my cousins Hackie and Marina. He was always a part of our lives in far away Australia.
Long life - we send our love
