OBITUARY

Larisa Blinderman (1962-2024)

It is difficult to find suitable words to describe the loss of Larisa. Wife, sister, mother, grandmother, daughter, friend. Each of us feels loss in our own way. What unites us in our grief? Our deep love for her. She will be forever remembered for how she warmed everybody’s hearts with her kindness, energy, and hospitality. We are in awe of her creativity and versatility. Her determination, resilience, and positive attitude made her overcome so many obstacles in her life including a devastating disease. Her adventurous spirit, willpower, and love of life, allowed her to live life at its fullest.

This sudden loss of Larisa shocked us all. We are trying to cope with our pain, and it seems simply impossible to imagine that this has happened. We will be forever grateful for all the memories and she will live forever in our hearts.

Larisa, our unique and only one, may you rest in peace.

Трудно найти подходящие слова чтобы описать потерю Ларисы. Жена, сестра, мама, бабушка, дочка, подруга. Каждый из нас чувствует потерю по своему. Что нас объединяет в нашем горе? Наша любовь. Наше восхищение ее душевностью, заботой и добротой. Наша преклонение перед ее силой воли и любви к жизни. Наше упоение ее изобретательности и многогранности. Она хотела жить ярко и прожила яркую жизнь, всегда будучи на высоте, несмотря на такую разрушительную болезнь.

Эта внезапная утрата Ларисы потрясла нас всех. Мы пытаемся справиться с нашей болью, и кажется просто невозможным представить, что это случилось. Только остается сохранить нашу любовь и память.

Лариса, наша неповторимая, пусть земля тебе будет пухом.

Как молоды мы были... Вспоминаю наши институтские годы, прибалтийские каникулы, единственную в моей жизни еврейскую компанию - спасибо тебе, моя дорогая подруга. Спасибо, что сделала мою жизнь в те годы по-настоящему насыщенной и интересной. Смотрим с моей дочерью Алиной её детские фото в прекрасных нарядных платьицах - спасибо тебе, Лариса, за то, что в самое сложное для меня время подарила нам эту радость. Спасибо за помощь, которую всегда предлагала. За наши редкие встречи... Как горько и обидно, что их было так мало и не будет больше. Спасибо Саше, который всегда был рядом с Ларисой. Dear larisa,
It is so unfair not to have you with us any longer.
We had many events - big and small - together, and every one was just simply enjoyable.
We were friends, our kids are friends and our grandkids will be friends.

Our deepest condolences to Sasha , children , grandchildren on Larisa’s passing . I remember Larisa when they , as a young family came to Rochester NY. All of us , relatives, met Sasha , Larisa with open hearts. Larisa , young, pretty, full of life and hopes, energetic, ambitious - this is how I remember her. May she rest in peace.

Larisa was such an amazing, beautiful soul. She was the most dedicated, most loving wife and mother to her children. She was a true inspiration and served as an excellent role model to anyone who was blessed to know her.

She will always be remembered for her grace and compassion. I felt honored to have known someone as special as her.

We remember Larisa as a brave, vibrant, and witty woman, who was intent on living a full life. She was always so interested in the world around her.

One of us knows Larisa from Moscow days and was present at Sasha and Larisa’s wedding. More recently, we were so glad to have had the opportunity to spend a few days with Sasha and Larisa the summer before last in Victoria. She seemed unstoppable to us, as she did when they visited us in Tucson and we took a long hike down Sabino Canyon. It also touched us greatly how devoted Sasha always was to his beloved wife. She will be missed by us and everyone who knew her.

I remember Larisa as brave and direct woman, with a great sense of humor. Though we didn’t see each other very often we had an immediate recognition and understanding without many words. She never hid her real feelings and opinions and therefore communication with her was real and honest. I remember one day when we went to a spa in Florida. Just an ordinary visit but it was full of laughter, gossip and jolly good time. I admired the way she handled her disease without self pity, without drama. She was also very creative and a great cook. Larisa was very respectful of my father who died prematurely from cancer. She created a beautiful album that helps me to remember people we have loved and lost. Have a light next journey beautiful soul!

Очень горько и печально.
Милая, добрая, мудрая женщина.
Она стойко и мужественно боролась.
До последнего планировала новые путешествия, встечи с друзьями, походы в театры и на концерты.
Но организм не выдержал. А душа обрела покой.
У нее остались замечательные дети и внуки.
Глубочайшие соболезнования Саше, Полине, Борису и всей семье.

Larissa will always be in our hearts and thoughts. She was a beautiful, intelligent, strong woman. We will always remember the family moments we shared with her and the many times she visited us in California with her remarkable kids and husband. Larissa, together with Sasha welcomed us to Chicago and showed us their city, and opened up their hearts and home to us when we came, so graciously. She impacted everyone she met and will be greatly missed. Our hearts and love are with Sasha, Polina, Boris and the rest of her family she left behind ❤️.

Я знала Ларису на протяжении многих лет - она была другом моей сестры Юли (Джулии Вольпе) и ее ныне уже покойного мужа Саши. Бывая в Америке, я несколько раз встречалась с Ларисой в общих компаниях и постепенно стала воспринимать ее как важного для меня человека. Без преувеличения она служила мне примером стойкости, жизнелюбия, оптимизма, умения вносить в повседневность заряд творческой энергии. Она была очень красивая, юная по своему мировосприятию и вместе с тем мудрая, глубокая, с интенсивной внутренней жизнью. Обо всем этом говорилось на прощании с ней - близкие и друзья не могут примириться с невосполнимой утратой, и я выражаю им свои искренние соболезнования. И могу лишь сказать, что несмотря на короткую жизнь Лариса прожила ее очень наполненно и счастливо и сделала все, чтобы так же ярко и счастливо жили ее любимые люди.
