OBITUARY

Gerry Fay Bernstein (nee Prussack), age 86.

Gerry was the beloved wife and best friend of David, to whom she was married almost 69 years. Since Gerry developed dementia several years ago, David was her loyal and attentive caregiver, as well as her devoted husband. Gerry was proceeded in death by her parents Edward and Esther Prussack. She was a loving sister to the late Stanley and the late Dr. Herbert. Gerry grew up in Kansas City, MO, and moved to Tulsa in her early teens. Her dream was to marry, raise and nurture a family. She was a devoted mother to Lori (Dr. Frederick) Wittlin, Pam (Cary) Schack, Jeff (Miriam), and BethLobel (partner Les Mittman), cherished friend Tien Glass (Grant) and her children. She greatly treasured her role as grandmother of 14 and proud great-grandmother of 46. For years, she was a dedicated and active member of the B’nai Emunah Sisterhood, and later on enjoyed services at the Chabad House. Gerry was known for her beautiful smile and kindness to others. She will be greatly missed by many. Graveside service Sunday June 4, 2023 1PM at Jewish Oakridge Cemetery, 4301 West Roosevelt Road (1/4 mile west of Mannheim Rd), Hillside, IL. David, Lori, Pam, Jeff, Beth and all of your families,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Gerry. I remember so many times driving to Tulsa to visit with all of you when we were little kids. She was
always so funny. Those were such great memories and then Gerry and my mom, Charlene, kept in tough by phone for many years. Gerry would tell mom all about you kids and her grandkids. She loved all of you very much. I am sorry I can't be there in person, but i will definitely be streaming.
May you cherish all the good times and great memories!

Love, Cousin Valerie
