My late mother, Ruth Schaller, and Evelyne were best friends for decades having first met on a cruise as couples with their husbands Phil and Ralph. My mother and Evelyne spoke every day. My mother was constantly impressed with Evelyne’s (she called her Evie) energy for baking, cooking, keeping house and traveling to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have only fond memories of Evelyne and I’m sure she will be greatly missed.
