Bev and Stephen are my only 1st cousins and we grew up very close and the love was brother sister like rather than 1st cousins. When Bev and Dave moved to California in the 70’s it prompted me and my then new bride to also take the leap and we actually moved into the apartment in Westwood which they vacated when they purchased their first home together in Sherman Oaks. Bev was special in so many ways and I have many memories from childhood to adulthood but I think I most admire Bev for her parenting, grand parenting and being the wife to a truly amazing husband. Bev and Dave raised 2 incredible young men in Adam and Josh and the world would be so much better if we had a lot more Adam and Josh’s on this planet.
Bev never stopped fighting this horrendous disease and never gave up, her strength was simply amazing and the family love and support was what drove her on every single day. The Zadikoff family are one very special family and Bev we will miss you more than you can ever imagine. We love you, we hope you are in a better place and free of pain. G-D bless you and all your beautiful family. Love from your cousin Mikey as you used to call me and all my family.

On behalf of my mother, I am writing to share the impact Ms. Bev made on my mom. Ms. Bev was my mom’s best friend, and my mom would watch Ms. Bev dance to Elton John in the kitchen. My mom admired the love Ms. Bev and Mr. David had for one another. I knew my mom would have a good day on Wednesdays and Saturdays when she would see the loving couple. Her spirit lives on between my mom and I, as I know Ms. Bev would praise women to be the happiest when dancing silly. She will always be my mom’s inspiration and will always be in our hearts.

Bev was my first cousin, and 5 years my junior.. We really got to know each other better as young women, when she came to stay with us when I was living in Israel in my early twenties. Discovering we shared many interests and tastes, (including our mutual love of Joni Mitchell,) it was a special pleasure to introduce her to our lovely South African friend, Dave Zadikoff. It was so obvious from the start that they were the perfect match, -and the rest, of course, is history! Bev and Dave became the most wonderful parents and grandparents, sharing and always enjoying the closest of family bonds. I am sure it is Bev’s love for and love and care of her family which has provided her with such strength , resilience and bravery over the last years. I always loved spending time with Bev, sharing a lot of fun and laughter, as well as having more serious chats. And we often wondered how we were the only two in our family not to have inherited the Man. Utd gene,- but instead a love of beads, buttons, fabrics, and threads,- in fact, all things creative. I especially treasure now the funky woven pot holder we made together during our last visit, and the beautiful ribbons and beads she sent me home with. Bev, you were a one-off, always honest and true to yourself, and I will miss you dearly.

Dearest David Adam, Joshua and families
Our deepest sympathy to you all on the sad loss of Bev. Your love and care during her long illness gave her the strength she needed to keep fighting. Bev fought very hard to stay with you and was exceptionally brave. We hope you will be comforted by special memories. May Bev rest peacefully. Thinking of you all and sending much love.

David - Linda’s and my thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and friends during this difficult time of transition. Beverley was not only your soulmate, but an inspiration to all of us in terms of how she lived her life despite her health challenges. I hope that you find solace in the fact that her pain and suffering are over, and she is at peace, in a better place. The world is a less welcoming place without her.

Dear David, Adam, and Joshua.
We cannot find the words for the loss. The grief that does not speak whispers to overwrought heart and bids it to break.
Thinking of you all, with love.

Bev burst into my life eager to learn how to bead, and so we began a friendship that changed who we were and who we became, especially to each other. I am grateful to have shared the creative process, experiencing life from our particular slant. Bev taught me kindness, family, trust, tolerance and acceptance. We called ourselves Pooh Bear and Piglet and so we remain secure in my heart, always together in my mind's eye.

She was a true friend as well as a wonderful neighbor. A talented artist as well as a wonderful mother and wife. Life gets complex as we age in many ways. I will continue to miss her as I have in the past years since w no longer lived next door to each other.

Colourful, loving, artistic, fierce, funny, unpretentious, - these are some of the many adjectives that go some way to describe the huge personality of dear Bev. Her late parents Cyril and Maureen were great friends of my late parents Arnold and Iris , and we grew up naturally as childhood friends. Even though most of her life was spent in USA the essence of her was forged in Manchester where people say it as it is and give it their all. The world is a poorer place without her. Sending much love to dear Dave , Josh and Adam and all the Zadikoff family. May her memory be a blessing.
