Lisa and Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember spending time at your house during high school and college with your mom around. I can’t forget going to her store to try my hand at knitting a cardigan where she was very patient with me.
May her memory be a blessing.
Sincerely, Audrey Zuckerman

We became friends with Sandy 20 years ago, I remember being at her Arizona house playing maj .She was a great player and so patient with me when I joined the group. I still have a coffee mug she made for me reminding me of the rules that I needed to work on. She was a gracious hostess with loads of food and delicious desserts served beautifully,
Steve and I spent many times at her home watching the SUPER BOWL< Sandy loved the ads I think more than the game itself. I did too
We will never forget her strength and courage during these last few years, She always wore some makeup and lipstick, even when she was so incapacitated. and there was always a smile to greet us, We will truly miss Sandy, a lovely strong and intelligent woman. May her memory be for a blessing.

Soooo many memories... what to pick as a shareable favorite,? I've e spent the last 8 years of my life making memories with the most incredible women I've ever met! People go life times and never get to meet someone like Sandy.. Accomplished,. Beautiful Copassionate just to name a few. Even during times of her illness she always was always considering everyone else's feelings compared to her own. Selfless is the beat word to describe her. I'm lucky to have spent these years with her as her best
Friend/ Daughter
She will be missed by many

I am so blessed to have known and worked (she would say, "tortured!") with Sandy for over 9 years. She always came to see me with goals in mind - picking up her eyeliner lid off the floor, putting clothes away in her closet, or preparing to walk down the aisle for her grandchildren's weddings! I will always know Sandy to come in to exercise with beautiful earrings matching her tops, lipstick, and showing me her lovely nails after manicures/pedicures. I was able to meet her wonderful family, who she was so proud of when they came to visit Tucson and pictures of her great grandchildren. She - along with Glen and Courtney, are part of our PWR! family. Her sprit, resilience, smile and stories will be greatly missed!

Sandy was loved by so many people. She was especially close with our family. From driving us to religious school, to teaching me how to knit (remember the knit-wit) she always made me feel special. Sandy and Mom couldn't pass up an antique sale, while dragging the husbands along. My memories of her will always be held dear..

My dear Sandy you made such a strong impact on my life. You were the grandmother that I never got to have. I am beyond thankful for all of the years I got to spend with you. You taught me so many things about the Jewish culture, cooking, antique salts, Mah-jongg and how you MUST have ice cream at the end of dinner. You were one of the most amazing people I’ve ever had in my life and I’m so lucky that I was one of those people you kept around. You became my family and you will always have a place in my heart . I love you Sondra Bernfield you will be missed more than you know.

Such a wonderful strong and talented woman, with the most supportive and loving husband, who has left an indelible mark on the world in the lives of her family and friends
What a long way to come from her childhood New York roots to her multi decades happy marriage, her strong sense of family and living to see great grandchildren, success and satisfaction in the arts. A terrific sister to Arlene, a kind cousin to many. Truly inspirational and humbly appreciative of what she helped create
Will be missed but live on in memory!
