Hannah was my psychoanalyst. From a disorientingly grey disarray of disconnected pieces, Hannah helped me slowly assemble myself and integrate into the fuller and more solid person that I am today. From a lost but reminiscently inspired path, bereft of a compass, Hannah reached out and helped me rekindle my own, under the warm nurturing light of her empathic touch. Fear and distrust gradually dissolved into the soundness of a human connection. For helping me bring the color back into my life, I am eternally grateful to Hannah. I will cherish the memories I have of her, and hope that she was aware of a fraction of how much she was cherished and valued, as an analyst and as a person.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Hanna's passing. I was privileged to meet her years ago at a professional meeting and knew immediately that she was a talented and caring young woman who had so much to offer the field and to the world. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,

I share an online group of psychoanalytic studies with Hannah, and could get in contact with her compromise on patients care, her kind and sensitive way to discuss the related subjects and great respect for colleagues. Her abscence will be missed a lot.

Dear Weiss Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Hannah's death--it's so sad to lose such a vibrant person at such a young age.

Hannah took a class in group counseling with me at Roosevelt University years ago. Hannah was one of those students who really became invested in learning abut group dynamics and group counseling. She far exceeded to requirements of the class by attending professional conferences both during and after the semester had ended. As I result, I had the pleasure of collaborating with Hannah on several occasions. I found her to be consistently bright and dedicated to her work. My thoughts are with you in your time of loss. Hannah's vibrant spirit will live on on those she touched.

Sincerely,

Barney Straus

It is beyond sad that Hannah is not with us any more. She was a gifted psychoanalyst and a fine human being. She will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolences.

I met Hannah when she was doing her internship. When she finished, I chose to continue seeing her when she started her own practice. I was her first client. She was so kind. Insightful beyond her years and and yet so humorous and and playful, almost instinctively, when things became too tough.
Everything she taught me, every life navigating tool she gave me will never leave me. I am so sorry and I feel so guilty. She'll always be in my heart.
Much love,
Lynne

I met Hannah in 2016 at a conference, and we became friends shortly after this. What a warm, loving, accepting, vibrant, whimsical, funny, beautiful person she was. I knew she battled her demons, but she always seemed to come up on top and to ride out the inner darkness that she sometimes felt so acutely. In the past six years, I was so privileged to see her grow and to get to know her more closely. I loved her deeply, and I already miss her so terribly.
May her memory be for a blessing. I miss you, Hannah.

Hannah and I started off as colleagues. Along the way, I became her supervisor and then her employer. We wound up as friends.

I don't know how many times I've thought about her the last few days. It doesn't help that whenever I do some billing, the web site asks me for the provider and gives me her as an option. :-/

I feel a deep loss, but not a complete one. I've also kept a part of her with me, which is only fair, since she's taken a part of me with her.

I'm so deeply saddened and shaken to learn of Hannah's passing. She was incandescent—remarkably sensitive, open, curious, charismatic— and had an infectious, deeply lovable presence. And so so much passion for psychoanalysis. Wishing her family and close friends warmest condolences, and with hope that it is a comfort to know many of us will hold her in mind and heart for a very long time.

Hannah was a good friend, who I met in 2015. We grew apart the last few years as our lives took different paths. And yet I’ve always enjoyed re-connecting and hearing about her new adventures. I am so saddened by this news and wish I could reach out again. I will always remember her.
