OBITUARY

Warren Levin, age 89.

Beloved husband of Donna B. Levin, nee Abrams. Dear father of Wendy Donofrio and Debra Noble. Proud grandfather. Son of the late Samuel and Celia Levin. Cherished brother of the late Martin (Juliana) Levin and Gary (Mary) Levin. Son-in-law and friend of Rose Ann Abrams.

Warren was a devoted husband, family man, and proud veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Army. Warren was actively involved in youth aviation activities as well as animal rescues using his skills as a general aviation pilot and forged lifelong friendships that endured long after his service. He had a deep love for animals and was an avid golfer who felt at home on the open fairways. He gave generously of his time to those in need. To his family, he was more than a father and husband — he was their rock, their Superman — a steady and unwavering source of strength through every season of life. He had an eye for beauty in the classic and timeless, whether found on the road in a vintage automobile or in the rituals of his Jewish faith, which he held with quiet pride and deep devotion.

Graveside service Thursday, 2 PM at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 West Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.

*Email and phone numbers will NOT be displayed online

Warren was my cousin, maybe a year older. We never lived close to one another after my family moved to California, but we always stayed in touch. On a cross country trip we stopped to visit Warren and Donna when they were in Wisc. On another trip we stopped in Florida for a visit. Always good times. My husband and I organized a cousins get together another time in Celebration, Florida so we made it our business to always see one another when we could. We stayed in touch via e-mail also. When I looked at Warren I always saw my father. He was the spitting image of him.
I will miss him.
With Love
Wilma
