We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Drew's loved ones on his passing.
Please know our hearts are breaking for all of you.
Dave and I were talking this morning about all the good memories we had of Drew.
Dave said one of his best memories was going to the Bears football game and the Black Hawks Hockey with Drew.
He was always inviting Dave over to watch the games.
We went to many Wolves Hockey games also.
I was never a sports fan. He really made me start liking sports. (a little) Drew really made the games fun. He always had the best seats. He was always in the know on the latest information with the sports teams.
Drew set up and planned for us to go to the last horse races at Arlington Heights racetrack before they closed. This was all new to me and turned out to be very fun.
All these things and many more he did for us were so nice and so thoughtful.
We appreciated what he did for all of us over the years.
His fund raisers for G-Pact were awesome. What a great job he did setting up these events.
It was a blessing to know Drew.
I called my 89-year-old father, George, and told him that Drew had passed. He was so sad. He asked me to extend his condolences to you all. He and Drew enjoyed visiting with each other at Lake Ottertail in Minnesota. He and my dad spoke the same language, "sports." Drew was always instrumental in helping us think of what to get Grandpa George for a gift.
My brother Gary had a broken leg and was convalescing at home for several months. He and Drew used to do a lot of chatting in the middle of the night as neither of them could sleep.
Drew and I enjoyed visiting about his family ancestry. This is my hobby. He told me lots of interesting stories about his grandparents and family.
Dave and I would also like to extend a big" thank you" to all of Drew's family for embracing us like one of their own. It was wonderful getting to know all of you. We enjoyed being invited to your homes for the holidays.
Dave and I wish you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this difficult time
