OBITUARY

Joel Levy.

Beloved husband of Ellen Greenfield Levy. Loving father of Kerri Levy Klinginsmith and Michael Levy. Adored grandfather of Lorelai Klinginsmith. Devoted son of the late Rebecca and Louis Levy. Dear brother of Steven Levy (the late Paula Green Levy). Cherished father-in-law of Doug Klinginsmith, and brother-in-law of David (Merrilyn) Greenfield and Jack (Lauren) Greenfield. Devoted uncle of Katie, Stefanie, and Kori Levy; Aren and Laura Greenfield; Danae and Marni Greenfield; and grand-uncle of Gabriella Hawkins. Graveside services on Thursday, September 12 at 11 AM at McHenry County Jewish Cemetery in the Oakland Cemetery (700 Block on W. Jackson Street in Woodstock, Illinois. Memorial contribution can be made to: Congregation Kneseth Israel in Elgin, McHenry County Jewish Congregation in McHenry, Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Skokie, and the American Heart Association. Arrangements by Chicago Jewish Funerals - Buffalo Grove Chapel.

I am so sorry to hear about Joel‘s passing. I remembered the good times Joel and you, Ellen, had by laughing with me while sharing news and dinner at Baker Square and the Buffalo restaurant. How patient he was as he heard stories between two educators go on and on and on. Ellen, your family and friends will bring you strength during this hard period of time.
