Funeral Details

Jack J. Herman, born March 10, 1926 in Gary, Indiana. Married for 68 years to the late Bluma (née Bornstein), father of William Herman (Emily Lifton), Daniel "Tommy" Herman (Jennifer Moran), and Dr. Elizabeth Herman. Grandfather of Justin Leverett (Marion Edgemeyer), Noah Leverett (April Escalante), Josephine Ida, Isaac, and Lewis Herman, Tika Lifton-Herman (Jack Mazurek). Great-grandfather to Tobias Leverett, Daphne Edgemeyer, Libi Zohar Leverett, and Zeyta Bud Marie Mazurek. Brother of Margaret Pearlman, Sophie Feldman, Samuel, Abe, and David Herman. Combat infantryman during the Battle of the Bulge and invasion of Germany in 1944-1945. 1950 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. Practicing lawyer from 1951 to 1996, former arbitrator for the Cook County Circuit Court and the Financial Industry Regulator Authority.

Services will be held at Wednesday, 10AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Boulevard (at Niles Center Road), Skokie, Illinois. Interment will follow immediately at the Temple Beth El Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.
