It is with great sorrow that I remember Sherwin (Tersh) we went through grammar school and high school together, we all hung out as a group at Zimblers Deli on Kildare, I am sorry that I never got to vist him in FL as I lived about 400 miles away.

Sherwin was more than just my fathers bandmate; he was a mentor who profoundly shaped my early musical experiences. Joining The Mark IV when I was 12, he became a fixture in our home, where the air was thick with the sound of rehearsals. The band's song list was a marathon, and I absorbed everything I could from my father, Bill Thomas, Mike McCarthy, and especially Sherwin. From learning complex harmonies to nailing dance steps and comedic timing, those hours were invaluable. Sherwin's encouragement was instrumental, especially when I filled in on drums at such a young age. He was a master of his craft: a talented musician, a compelling vocalist, a meticulous arranger, and a born entertainer. Thank you and Rest in Peace Sherwin. Family/Friends: P.S. I have a video retrospective of the Mark IV posted online - I live in Morton Grove, IL - respectfully, Lon Thomas
