I met Shar at the beauty shop and I found out that our husbands were boyhood friends looking for each other. The rest is history. Shar and I both went back to teaching, played mahjong and double dated. We had a long and wonderful relationship. I will miss her.

I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. She was a unique woman! I remember at Emily's wedding we rode the same shuttle bus out to the ceremony; as I got on the bus I stopped to talk to her for a minute before going back to my seat. As I started to head back I said to the rest of the people on the bus, "She used to be my mother-in-law!" to which she replied, "That was a long time ago!" which cracked up everybody on the bus!

It's hard to lose a parent, no matter how old they are, but I hope you all can find comfort in seeing all the lives she touched.

I send my best regards and condolences to all of Sharlene's family. Even though I met her only a few times at the Estrada house, she was very social and easy to talk to. She recalled many interesting stories from her past and it is evident she was passionate about education. May she rest with Angels and may Peace be with you.
