OBITUARY

Howard Keith Snow, age 62.

Beloved husband of Shari, nee Goldman, Snow and the late Sari, nee Rubin, Snow. Loving father of Emily (Max Smith) Snow, Jillian Snow, Danielle (Eli Dresner) Goldman, and Max Bermont. Proud grandfather of Goldie and Bernie Dresner. Adored son of Elaine, nee Helfer and the late Richard Snow. Dear brother of the late Robert Snow. Loved by innumerable friends and family members.

Howard graduated from the Indiana University School of Business and built a successful career in consulting before owning and operating a home healthcare agency. His work reflected his lifelong commitment to caring for others. With his warmth, fun-loving spirit, and sage advice, Howard was the person everyone could count on and a friend to all he encountered. His unwavering kindness was often paired with a well-timed prank, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. A lover of cycling, the Beatles, sour candies, wildlife, and travel adventures, Howard was, above all, a devoted pillar of strength and support for his family and friends. He was, in every sense, the definition of a mensch.

Service Sunday, September 7, 2025, 11 AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Shalom. We encourage you to share your personal condolences and stories of Howard Snow below and we will share them with the family.
*Email and phone numbers will NOT be displayed online

Howard was the most loving and supportive father to his children. I was unable to spend a lot of time with him towards the end of his life; however, I was privileged to feel the unwavering love and support he showed to Jillian throughout her personal life and within her nursing career endeavors. Howard, your light and warmth will be deeply missed on earth, but your love will forever be present in your home and with your daughters. The Gualano family sends our love and deepest condolences to the Snow family.

With all the love,
The Gualano family

Dear Shari,

My heart broke when I heard of Howard’s passing. May his soul rest peacefully. I will always remember when you and Howard took Aly and me to dinner when we first moved to Chicago. Howard had such a presence , warm, and inviting. Even in just a few hours, he left a lasting impression.

That evening meant so much to us. We were stepping into a new adventure, far from family and friends, and the way you and Howard welcomed us made Chicago feel a little more like home. I will always carry that memory with gratitude.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

With love and deepest sympathy,,
Sandra

I'm sure my name isn't familiar to most of you but, Howard and I were inseparable best friends from nursery school through college. We saw each other almost everyday during that time. This news leaves me absolutely heartbroken. His obituary is absolutely true. He was the epitome of a mensch.
We haven't spoken or seen each other in years. We drifted apart. Each of us pursuing life in different directions. For this, I am truly sorry. I'm so sad that we never regained communication with each other.
For those of you who have known Howard, ( SUP ), FOR THE PAST 40+ years, I can tell you that the laughs, friendship, and love that you experienced with him were genuine. He was that kinda guy!
I will miss my friend and regret never taking the necessary steps to rekindle our friendship.
My most sincere condolences to the entire Snow family. This was a tragedy.

I met Howard moving into AEPi fraternity house at Indiana August 81’. Hank unquestionably the nicest person I’ve ever met in my entire lifetime. It doesn’t matter who you are- he would go out of his way to help someone who needed the help. That’s who he is and how lucky was I to be touched by his goodness. Mother Snow and immediate family I am so sorry for the largest loss in your life.

To the entire Snow Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I met Howard when Emily was at Duke Fuqua School of Business and will always remember how welcoming of a person he was. He looked at me - not knowing me yet - with the kindness eyes and happy smile. He had a wonderful demeanor and I know Emily was extremely proud to call Howard her father. He will be missed.

With love and our deepest sympathies,

Howard was my AEPi pledge/fraternity brother at Indiana University. He the kindest gentlest soul I had ever met! He always had a smile on his face and was always a positive influence! Even though I had not seen Howard since we graduated in 1985, I still remember him fondly! May his memory always be a blessing to his friends and family!
