I just learned of Joel's passing and wanted to express my deepest condolences for a good man and dear friend of over 60 years. Joel and I grew up together in Skokie and enjoyed six decades of wild adventures and good times. I was his co 'Best Man" at his wedding in 2010 - along with his lifelong neighbor and friend Mark Lustig. And had the ordeal of moving him and his belongings numerous times thru out the years when he relocated apartments and homes. Joel was a character - a one-of-a-kind of guy. He was also generous, funny, and a very decent person. I will miss him. God Bless All who have taken care of him in his later years.

I knew Joel for over 50 years. He was a charter member of our “boys” club. He was a very decent individual and the nicest guy you would want to meet.
Never a cross word for anyone and he will be missed.

Joel was a friend in High School at ETHS with my brother. I got to know him after high school when my boyfriend later to be my husband became friends with him. My husband would pick him up a lot and taking him out to be with their group of friends that continued for years. Many fun stories of Joel to be remembered. Unfortunately we lost contact during covid and really totally after the passing of his long time friend Mark and than Tom in 2021 my husband. We all appreciated the care given to him up to the end. He lived an adventurous life. God bless you Joel.

I have known Joel for over 50 years. He was a very unique individual who was a fun loving and really loved life. A book could be written with all the stories that could be told from various events throughout his life. He was a happy guy that could take a ribbing and laugh about it. Many many memories are had by anyone that knew him.
God bless him...may he rest in peace.
