Loving wife of the late Gerald Flegel. Devoted mother of Laura (Mary Farmer) Flegel and Judy Flegel. Proud and Beloved grandmother of Isaac, Joey and Naomi (Elvin). Dear Flegel Family:

My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mother Roz. I had the pleasure of meeting your Mother when my family and I first moved to Deerfield from Philadelphia. We were members of Women's American ORT. I also remember, we adopted one of the kittens from your family cat. Sorry that we lost track of one another after your family moved to Highland Park.

What a lovely person Roz was, kind and caring to all, and with a true servant's heart. She was a friend and mentor to me when I was younger and working through many issues, and her example stayed with me through all the years. Her life journey was admirable, growing from wisdom to greater wisdom and love to greater love. All good thoughts to Laura, Mary, Judy and the family as you celebrate the blessing that was Roz's life.

I was so sorry to hear that your beloved Mother passed away. Your Mom was such a lovely and caring woman. When Bert and I visited the family in Chicago we always had such an enjoyable time being with her. My deepest condolences to both of you and your families.

Roz was a wonderful, caring friend of my family. She was also a model of kindness, strength and independence that she used to help those around her. I remember Roz with a smile on her face and genuine interest whenever we talked. I am grateful for those memories. She will be missed.
