Michael Ferdinand, age 76

Beloved husband of Susan nee Mehlman. Loving father of Lee (Helen) Ferdinand and Jaime (Sam) Lewis. Adored grandfather of Naomi, Chloe and Gabrielle Lewis and Flora Ferdinand. Devoted son of the late Leo D. Ferdinand and the late Bessie Letchinger Ferdinand Glitman. Cherished son in law of Lester Mehlman and the late Janice Mehlman. Dear brother of Bonnie (Stephen) Traiman and the late Sari Jane Ferdinand. Fond step brother of Paula Glitman Stone, Joseph Glitman and the late Maynard Glitman. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews. Memorial service Sunday February 25, 11AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Having Mike as a neighbor was a pleasure. He was always willing to lend me tools and tips/advice whenever I was doing a project.
He was so caring and thoughtful to our kids as well. We will all miss Mike. Our prayers are with you Sue and the rest of the family. May you seek and find comfort in the Lord during this difficult time.

Beautiful service. So sorry we couldn’t be there. Hope you, Sue, and whole family might find some small measure of comfort knowing that we are thinking of you with love and support, and that the two of us made a huge dent in a box of Kleenex! We will always have wonderful memories of Mike, especially his sense of humor, his warmth, his huge smile, and his tremendous love for all the family. We send lots of love and massive hugs- the way Mike always gave them!
