Shiva will be observed from Wednesday, February 25, 2025, until after Shacharit on Monday, March 3 according to the schedule below.

The first night of Shiva all mourners will be in Hollywood, Florida.
The rest of the week Judy Dach and Miriam Chriki will be sitting Shiva in Hollywood.
Esther Kletter and Sharon Haselkorn will return to Newton, Massachusetts for Shiva from Thursday, February 27 until the end of the Shiva period.

Hours: 11 AM - 2PM and 5PM - 8PM

Shiva in Newton for Esther Kletter and Sharon will be at the Haselkorn home,
108 Garland Road, Newton from Thursday afternoon, February 27 through Motzei Shabbat,
March 1 and at the Kletter home on Sunday, March 2 through Shacharit on Monday, March 3.

OBITUARY

With sadness we share the news of the passing of Berta Fine a"h, beloved wife of the late Irving Fine z"l, beloved mother of Sharon Haselkorn and mother-in-law of Michael Haselkorn, z"l; beloved mother and mother-in-law of Judy and Dr. Jeffery Dach; beloved mother of Miriam Chriki, and beloved mother of Esther Kletter; loving grandmother to 12 and great-grandmother to 27. Berta was born in Chile. She was an active member of her community, synagogue and the Jewish day schools while raising her family in Chicago before moving to Hollywood, Florida. Berta was Bubbie to all and will be missed by many.

The funeral will be Tuesday February 25th. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM at the Waldheim Menorah Gardens Cemetery in Broadview, Illinois followed by a gathering for hespedim and reflections at Skokie Valley from 1:00-3:30. There will also be an hour for shiva visitation from 2:30 - 3:30 PM at Skokie Valley. To attend the funeral livestream, please visit our website. A beautiful human being and an open-minded kind Jewish woman. We need more people like Berta Fine. Her friendship with my belived mother was special and treasured.

I send my condolenses,to my dear friend miriam and all her sisters and family all over the world. Berta was a very special woman. She made many many visits to israel.and i was honored and lucky to spend a lot of time with her alone and also with my and miriams children together. We loved her visits and her passion for life. I will miss her and cherish the good memories i have of those visits. I hope her family can help each other during the sad mourning time and continue enjoying doing things together. That would make berta very. happy. All my love to miriam judy esther sharon and their families.
