I am so sorry for your loss (and mine). I played cello with Joshua in the Evanston Symphony for the past 16 years and in the Savoyaires for a season as well. It was so hard to see him struggle with his health, but he always had such a positive attitude. He was always so kind to me and his passion for cello was infectious. The section won't be the same without him. He will be greatly missed.

I am close friend of Shoshana and remember meeting Mr. Sachs while I was in Chicago. He was such a humble man and it was an absolute pleasure to have met him. Sincere condolences to the Sachs family! Barukh Dayan HaEmeth! May his memory be for a blessing and may Hashem give the family the strength to bear the loss!

I remember fondly the years of learning with Joshua on Shabbat afternoons, and the fun that my daughter Renana had playing with Shana and Shaya. I miss him.

I met Joshua for the first time in 2015 as a surprise guest to his mother Henrietta's 101st birthday and I'm happy that I could see him and Shoshana again last year during a brief visit in Chicago. All of the Sachs' I got to know were truly exceptional human beings and they treated me so nice. It really make me sad that two of them are already gone. I wish all the family and friends lots of strength but also smiling faces while thinking about the good times you had with Joshua.

I was privileged to know Joshua through Michael Costello, and remember days sharing conversation in his home, evenings sharing coffee at a local coffee house near his home, getting a beautiful tour of the arboretum, and strolling through a small zoo on more than one occasion. Joshua was a dear friend and colleague of Michael's and will be deeply missed. Thank you for sharing this video, and blessings to all of his family.

To Joshua's family -- I just heard today of Joshua's death. I am so sorry to hear this news. I worked with Joshua for several years at the appellate defender's office, and am so grateful to have been the beneficiary of his legal skill and sense of humor which he shared on a daily basis. We talked music and bicycling, and of course law. Joshua even taught me to patch a bicycle tube! Right there at the office! Quite a memory. I will never forget him. May his memory be for a blessing.

I just learned of Joshua's passing. I knew and worked with Joshua at the appellate defender. He was so kind and patient with my son, another Joshua.

We played flute and cello duets. Joshua would give me a call out of the blue and we'd have long conversations on the law and on music. When I hadn't heard from him for so long I looked him up. It greatly saddens me not only that it took me so long to reach out, but more importantly to find this devastating news.

My heart goes out to the family. May his memory forever be a blessing.
