Because of physical distance I did not know Mary Louise all that well, but always admired what she achieved in her lifetime. She always seemed happy at family gatherings. Her loss will be greatly felt and my hope is that, as cousins, we can keep in contact. Family is the most important gift. My love and prayers are with you during this dark time. Her struggles are over, but my experience tells me that you will be fine one minute and not the next. After four years, there are still days that I want to ask Mom something and remember she is no longer available. Keep your memories close. They will be of great comfort in the days to come.

Aunt Mary Lou enjoyed visiting with her sister, Verda, my mother. I remember spending time with her during her visits. Always a wonderful time. When my son was born Mary Lou brought Jonathon for a visit to get to know his new cousin. Jonathon loved playing in Aunt Verda’s kitchen drawers. Ben wasn’t big enough to capture his attention for an extended period of time.

I remember Mary always coming to cheer on Jonathon at dance competitions and shows. She was always so nice to me and very supportive of all of us in Jon's circle. I will not forget her.
