OBITUARY

Judith “Judy” Sally Rothschild nee Klein, of Northbrook, Illinois passed away on June 18th 2025 surrounded by her loving family. On the fourth of July she would have celebrated her 95th birthday. Beloved wife to her husband, the late Robert S. Rothschild. Loving mother to Mark Rothschild, the late David Rothschild and Elizabeth (Kevin Krantz) Rothschild-Krantz; cherished grandmother Alex Molinaro (Ryan) and Katy Krantz; proud and adoring great grandmother to Rowan Molinaro. Beloved daughter of Jeanette Klein; dear sister of the late Miriam (Pidge) Reese. Judy was a long-time resident of Northbrook, Illinois and a winter resident of Carefree, AZ, and spent over 50 happy summers in Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. Judy was an artist, educator, art therapist and business woman. Her talents were many and they all ran deep! She was happiest when she was learning and creating. Both she and her husband of 72 years loved to travel throughout America and abroad. They found beauty in all of the places they visited and were inspired to create the most beautiful paint colors. Former Director of Craft Division of an Illinois based paint manufacturing firm, Judy is now painting the sky a beautiful new shade of blue! Service Monday, 1:00pm at Makom Solel Lakeside, 1301 Clavey Road, Highland Park, IL 60035. Interment Shalom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jewish United Fund (JUF) 30 South Wells St., Room 3134, Chicago, Illinois 60606 www.juf.org would be appreciated. To Judy and Bob they taught me many things such a beautiful couple and family. Daughter Beth, and son Mark, whom I have the pleasure of spending time with.. Also two granddaughters Katie and Alex such beautiful girls And we can’t forget Beth’s husband Kevin what a wonderful person.
I I remember a time when they were having a Jewish holiday and they’re beautiful dining room and all of them took turns reciting different passages and someone said that Seth was at the door and I went and rang the doorbell. It was funny.. they will both be missed rest in peace..

I have many fond memories of Mark and Beth’s mother. starting with my teenage years at the house in Highland Park and then in Los Angeles, when she came out to visit Mark. I would get together with her as well. She was a beautiful lady, loved her family and certainly knew how to enjoy life.❤️

Cousin, your light shine me bright, as your legacy and memory live on, as brightly as it did in life.
You touched my heart with your genuine character; thoughtful, generous, caring, honest, honorable, charitable, and just a great human I admired. You still have me in awe of your talents; creativity , ingenuity, artistry and out-of-the box thinking. I revere your committed matrimony and incredible parenting, a woman who showed she appreciated family, friends, community, and humanity past/present and future. Your infectious energy and fun personality will surely be missed, as you were so unique. We miss you and we love you, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your life.

My deepest condolences to Mark, Beth and their family. Judy’s passion for life was exemplified in her love of her family, commitment to long time friends and her art. I was fortunate to have collaborated with Judy in a kitchen remodel . Judy’s creativity and vision was integral in the project and was engaging and present to its completion. Her vitality and force as the matriarch of the family and her immediate community will be impacted by her absence but consoled in her ever present spirit. Her love, loyalty and compassion for those around her lives on through her children.
