This really hit me hard. We grew up together from the age of 6 (we were only 4 months apart and we went together to get our Social Security cards when we were 16), but unfortunately lost touch during college. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Scott and I met over 25 years ago as traders on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. We both retired and lost touch. for several years. We reconnected at Sunset Valley Golf Course where Scott was a starter and I was his ranger. We then became playing partners on the golf course twice a week where we shared many laughs and poor golf shots. Work, golf and lunches became our routine and I will always treasure those memories...
My sincere condolences to Bari and the entire Schwab family. May Scott's memory be a blessing.

Scott and I met about 12 years ago at Sunset Valley while we both worked there he as a starter and myself inside the pro shop. We shared laughs together as we talked all the time there. Tuesdays and saturdays will never be the same without his funny conversations. I will miss him and sincere condolences to Scott’s family

My sympathies to the family of Scott Schwab. I knew him as the Saturday starter at Sunset Valley Golf Course but I know he was much more than that. Scott always greeted me with a big smile and warm hello. We would catch him on the past week. He was proud of his kids and grandkids. He was pretty good with a joke or sly comment. He will be missed at the golf course and by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I had the privilege of working with Scotty for over 16 years at Sunset Valley. He was truly loved by his coworkers and friends at the course, and I will miss him very much.
One of his greatest gifts to me was introducing his daughter, Dr. Brady Reis, to my wife and me. Dr. Reis delivered our two beautiful children.

Scottie was a dear friend. There’s a huge void in the world without him. I will never enjoy my Saturday golf with as much joy in the future. I would like to work to be a little bit of the mensch he was. My sadness is outweighed by the joy of thinking of him and remembering his infectious smile. Shalom my friend.

So sorry to hear about Scott. He brightened everyone’s day at Sunset Valley. His smile and sense of humor was always the best way to start a round of golf. This was only a small window into his full and deep life and loves but was much appreciated. May his memory be a blessing.

For the past five years I would show up on Saturday morning at 6:45 and see Scott. It was always a warm welcome by Scott. I came to find out he was the same Scott I ran orders to when I was in 16. We would reminisce together of our careers as CBOE members and talk about the cast of characters we worked with. My oldest brother Jim had a relationship with Scott as well and his response to the news was "Scott always treated me well a really good guy." Golf on Saturday mornings this year will not be the same.

Scott was my lifelong friend, from College at the U of I, to Law School, ultimately following him to the CBOE trading floor. He was a diehard White Sox and Illini fan.
He was quirky as could be (some might say nutty), but he had a heart of pure gold and his greatest pleasure in life, besides his family, was making people smile and laugh.
I'm just another of his fans, and I'll miss him deeply.

Scott was truly one of a kind. I’ll always cherish our conversations about Illini football and basketball. He meant so much to all of us and was such an important part of the Sunset Valley family.
My heart goes out to his family. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing how deeply he was appreciated and loved by the Sunset Valley team. He will be missed more than words can express.
