It is with tears and great sadness to have just heard from my brother, Fred, that Susan has died. Oy. Even though we lived miles away from each other, I will always think of her fondly, as my next door neighbour growing up. Her laughter and voice were always genuine. Her authentic self is an amazingly precious gift. I will dearly miss Susan. We all will. I am truly sorry for your loss. This is huge. September 9th, will never be the same.

Thank you so much Spector family for opening up this beautiful service to those of us who wanted to be there but couldn't because of the distance that separates us, and being able to share in such warmth and love of family and friends. This room oozes love!

It's been said over and over what a kind, loving, caring person Susie was, and that's truly how I will always remember her! One memory I have, as a young person when Susie (and Lori) came to visit and we first got together, it never felt like there was any time between us. I never felt like I had to give a quick elevator speech about my life, with expectations of grand things I was doing or what was going on with me. Instead, conversation was comfortable, organic and she was truly interested, happy for me, even asking questions. Always loving, present, inspiring and I never felt like just a kid!...and oh, by the way, we always had lots of fun together! Susie, you will live on in my heart for the beautiful person you are!

Sending love, comforting hugs,
Steph
