Jane...My heart is broken...Gerry was a friend to me and my late husband Howard for over 36 years. I'll miss him dearly.

Since I just found out today 8/12 I cannot be in Chicag tomorrow.. I wish I could.

My deepest condolences Jane, Adam and Michael. I worked with Gerry for over 35 years. When Gerry asked how you were doing, it wasn't a passing greeting, he really wanted to know. I will never forget that when I was in an ICU unit post surgery in 2011, he came to visit me and check in. That was Gerry. Compassionate. Caring. Genuine.
I will truly miss him.

Dear Jane,
I admired Gerry. Scott told me this morning. I know his passing is a heartbreaking loss for you and Adam. He protected Sharon and guided Scott. For that, I am grateful. I have fond memories of the time we joined you in Acapulco. I’m sure your life is filled with so many others. He defined to me what a Mensch is.
