What a wonderful life you led Dear Alvina. Sadly, I never got to meet you but Ive had the pleasure of knowing Jorie for many years. Knowing her and the Sax family has been a blessing and without you, that would never had happened. So thank you always. May you rest in peace for all eternity. I'm a friend of Jorie. So sorry to hear of Jorie's grandma passing. When we worked together she often spoke of her grandma and her adventures. I was regaled with many a story and learned that she was quite a colorful person indeed. Those stories - all the memories will get those who love her through the sadness of losing her.

To my sweet Jorie - I love you honey. Thanks for being such a good friend.

Alvina was one of the kindest, sweetest people I ever met. Because she and my mother were close, as were Howard and my father, I knew Alvina most of my life. She was engaging, involved, knowledgeable, cordial, opinionated, and occasionally feisty. Always a pleasure to be around, I was most proud to have her as my mother-in-law for nearly half of her life. She lived her life her way and it obviously worked.
