Ray was a classmate at the Northshore Senior Center. He was always a delight to be around. His illness did not stop him from making wonderful contributions to our classes. I'll miss him.

Ray was always one of the good guys. I first met him when I entered high school in 1954. I was kind of an outsider as the grade school I attended was not a normal feeder into Sullivan High School. Ray was one of the first to welcome me into the fold, so to speak. In later years and up to the present day, I would often see him and Carole at the North Shore Senior Center, where I am very active. Again, always a gentleman and a genuinely nice person. Ray will most definitely be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Ray. He was my mother’s first cousin and she loved him and the family fiercely. She would always tell me how happy he was when he would visit his nieces, Annette and Lisa and their children. He was a real mensch in every sense of the word. May your families along with Carole hold your memories close to your heart and May his memory be a Blessing.

I meant Ray and dear Sharon, his sister, and their parents, my new wonderful uncle Sam and my new wonderful, beautiful aunt Esther, at my new step fathers parents apartment in Chicago when Ray was six years old, and I was seven years old. I remember so vividly that he was sweet, kind, shy, reserved, intelligent, and was watching and observing. everything carefully. In the decades are followed, each of these attributes and characteristics evolved to make a wonderful human being and Jew. His love for wood and carving would and the patients involved could not be surpassed. His love for the birds and his knowledge bank for this what is unsurpassed. for so many decades, he loved being a pharmacist only because he was able to help so many people. He loved Sharon‘s children so much and wanted only the best for them. His love for Carol was deep and unqualified. I am so glad that he found her and she found him. I know that my sweet Ray is in a better place now, but I will miss him terribly; however, he will remain in my heart for ever as I hope he will with everyone who knew him.

I am heart broken over the loss of my great uncle. He was such a special person in my life. He was truly one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever known. He lit up every room with his full of life personality.
He supported me in ways I’ll never forget. His quiet acts of kindness and unwavering belief in me made a lasting impact on my life, and I’ll always be grateful. More than anything, I’ll miss his big heart, his humor, and I’ll always remember how my uncle made people feel welcomed and loved, just by being himself.
My Uncle Ray lived a full life of traveling and making every day count. When I would talk to him on the phone, I loved asking him about those days. He's one of the smartest people Ive known and his memory will stay with me forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Love,

Christine Harrison
