What a beautiful heritage he leaves behind! So many blessings of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And through it all Beverly was loving, supporting, and making things happen! So sad that he is gone, but good that it was how he wanted.

Dear Sari, Elana and David:

Your father always made me smile. Upon first spotting him in a room, you knew that the upcoming conversation with him could take a variety of unexpected sharp twists and turns. What a mind! It was such an honor to be part of many back and forth verbal jousts/puns with him over the many decades that I've known him and each of you, from Schechter/Ida Crown/Penn to both coasts. He wore his U of C. pedigree so proudly every time he analyzed an issue, no matter how seemingly mundane.

Yehi zichro baruch.

As a kid growing up a few doors down from the Steinberg family, Jeffrey and Beverly were among the few positive adult role models I had in my life. The love they had for each other and their children, as well as their mutual respect, was apparent to me even as a child. Jeff impacted my life in many ways and his memory is truly a blessing. My condolences to Bev, David, Elana, Sari and their entire extended families.
