OBITUARY
Ruth Dina Geisenheimer nee Levin passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday August 22, 2022, at age 93. Ruth was born in Burlington, North Carolina to Sol and Stella Levin and the sister of Seymour and Jack Levin. Ruth was deeply loved by her husband of sixty-seven years, the late Edwin D. Geisenheimer. A gracious and dignified Southern woman, Ruth and Edwin lived life fully, danced fabulously and created a loving family that began with three daughters, Cathy- who passed away in 2009 (Mark) Stang, Susan Geisenheimer (Douglass Hewitt) Hewitt and Judith Geisenheimer Salstone. An accomplished sculptor, Ruth adored and will forever be missed by her grandchildren, Rebecca (Adam Davidson) Stang Eric Stang, Benjamin (Hannah) Hewitt, Jessica Hewitt, Samantha Salstone (David) Kohn, Rachel Salstone and Nathan Salstone, as well as her great-grandchildren, Eliza and Logan Kohn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth leaves a legacy of quiet strength in the face of life’s challenges, a tightly knit family that shares her love of the arts and the knowledge that every day has meaning. The family is eternally grateful to Liberty’s Angels (Liberty, Bridget, Melba and Irish) for the love, compassion and friendship they so generously shared with Ruth. Services will be held privately and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation, 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Suite 100, Sarasota, FL 34232 www.parkinsonhope.org.
