I knew Gunther through his daughter Betty. He was always so welcoming, with a quiet calm manner that somehow conveyed a steadiness and a strong sense of self. I read his book years ago and was moved. I will miss hearing the updates on Gunther from Betty. He lives on through his written word and his love for others. I am so sorry, Betty, and I'm sending healing messages to the whole Gunther Rice extended family.
