Marshall was a wonderful teacher, a highly valued scholar, and, most importantly to me, a great friend. I think fondly of the many happy hours we spent together. I have missed him terribly, and I will remember him for the rest of my life. I am so sorry that I am unable to attend the funeral in person, but I will be watching on livestream. But I want you to know how important Marshall was to me, and that the law school has never been the same for me since he left. I hope my thoughts help bring you some comfort during this trying time.

Love,
Marty Redish
