My deepest condolences to Brett, Jake & Luke. I worked with Errol for 30+ years at The Bazaar, Inc. and with Susan as well. I was very close with both of them and have soooo many memories, most of them funny ones!!! Anyone who knew Errol, knows he was a character and loved to joke around and laugh. Susan and I became close over the years as well. I blame my Coach handbag obsession on her. Errol and I kept in touch over the years, most recently comparing our gallbladder surgery stories. I have missed Susan over the years and now Errol has joined her. May they rest in peace now forever in eternity. Hugs to you all and praying that you find peace knowing they're together again. Love, Cheryl Robish-Roberts & Mike Roberts

Never will forget watching the Super Bowl in 1985 at the Kroners. Yes, still at the same Lincolnwood house (which I guess will now finally change hands). Susan was ensuring everyone was happy and fed. Both of their lives revolved entirely around Brett. Can't you now tell with Brett?!? Getting on Erroll's email distribution list was one of the best decisions I have ever made. We couldn't have been more different politically, but the man was funny and his schtick was something to behold. His viewpoint on life was so obvious and simple. And it was so refreshing to know someone who just didn't give a damn about what others thought. He had his thoughts and wasn't afraid to publicly share them. Susan has been missed. Erroll will be missed. The mold will never be recreated on either. Brett, offering you my deepest, heartfelt condolences. May both of their memories be a blessing.

Erroll was one of the first people to welcome me to the Chicago area after relocating from Michigan. He was a mentor, friend and colleague. Even after working with each other we had an opportunity to stay in touch which was always a good time. You will be missed and thank you for your kindness.

My sincere condolences to you, Brett, and to your boys. I will always have fond memories of your dad. He was always a champion of all your many accomplishments and a big supporter of your friends. I will cherish the countless memories of spending time with him at your house, the many events over the years, and of course his hospitality and generosity on the golf course. Your parents were special people to many of your friends, and we all benefited from the kindness and love they shared with all of us—so many amazing memories that we will all hold dear. We hope that you find solace as they rest in peace together. We are so sorry we are unable to attend the funeral service in person due to prior family obligations. We are thinking of you all and sending you love during this difficult time, my brother. Know we are all here for you now and always.

Love,
Mag, Annie, Genevieve, and Gwyneth

Errol and i became golfing buddies when he and Susan stayed at Colonial Golf Club in Fort Myers. Wonderful man and a great friend. He was always quick with a golf tip or to sell you a club that would give me 10 more yards on his drives. Visited him at his home pre covid and we played some great courses in the area and enjoyed his favourite haunts for dinner. When i had my knee replacement surgery in January 2020 he came down to Colonial to help me in my recovery and my wife Ina was able to visit him in Chicago when she was in town and he was the perfect host. We last chatted in April and as always was upbeat even though he was going through health issues.

Dear Kroner Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear about your loss and want to extend my heartfelt condolences.

I have fond memories of us sitting around a table playing cards. Those games were always so much more than just playing cards, they were wonderful moments for catching up and talking through all of life's events.

With deepest sympathy,

Matt

Our deepest condolences to Brett, Jake & Luke, and the entire Kroner family.
I had the privilege of working together with Erroll and Susan at The Bazaar for many years, and I will always remember the kindness, friendship, and good memories we shared. Erroll was truly a great guy with a wonderful character and a great sense of humor. We shared many laughs together over the years, whether while working at The Bazaar, helping him fix something around the house, or simply enjoying lunch at Blondie’s. He always made people feel welcome, appreciated, and comfortable around him.
Rest in peace. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Brett, let me start out by wishing you and your family our heartfelt condolences. In regards to your parents I will address a few things that stand out in my memory. The first time I met Susan was when I moved to the North side in 8th grade and Danny invited me to his house after school. Susan answers the door and say “eek it’s a midget”. After that we had some good times together and even went out on a date ( 1 and done) Also, I remember when we would go to Pennelwood on Labor Day weekends and’ she would hide the bicycles so Brett would have 1 the next day. Of course later on we enjoyed sharing family occasions together. In regards to Errol we became very close speaking practically daily around 10 am about sports, politics, and investments. He was very proud of you Brett and your boy’s. So , we will miss him dearly (rest in peace my friend) Love ❤️.from the duck family.

My deepest sympathies to Brett, Jake and Lucas. Our family loved getting to know Errol. He was at every high school lacrosse game leaning against the fence. He was the most supportive grandfather I’ve met. His smile was contagious. Brett, you are a great son to your dad. We will miss seeing him and knowing he is here with us. God bless your mother and father and your family, forever. Your friend, Claudia Hippel

Errol was a steadfast man who truly lived his marriage vows. In 1969 he said "in sickness and in health" and truly meant it. He was by his wife's side every step of her long and painful journey. He had such a big heart.
Susie was much more than a sister-in-law to me. She was my loving, caring friend.
Together, she and Errol created an outstanding son, Brett, who is one of the greatest joys of our life.
I will miss them both greatly. May God bless them and keep them close to his heart.

Rest In Peacetogether again, dear Errol and Susie. I love you both forever.

Dear Brett and family. I worked with your parents at Bazaar. Loved them both and think of them often. I think of Susan when decorating my tree we were given so many ornaments. Each one brings a different thought of your parents. May they rest together in peace and I wish you and your family comfort at this difficult time.

Condolences to Brett, Jake and Luke.

When I heard Mrs. Kroner passed, it hit me. When I heard Mr. Kroner followed, it hit harder to know that they are both gone now.

Growing up around Brett, I knew no other kid, or family, like them. In my 50s now, I see and understand things that felt so good as a young person in the Kroner family sphere of influence, but mean so much more now that I am a father.

Mrs. Kroner was a lovely human who welcomed everyone who came through the front door, no matter how different. I was 6 years old, and she had a bowl of M&M's that was big and filled to the rim. When I rode my bicycle back to the other side of Lincolnwood after being at the Kroners', she saw me staring at the bowl and said, "Fill your pockets with them." I remember that long ride home, snacking on those yummy morsels. Mrs Kroner was #1 to be from then on.

I was lucky to stay connected with Mr. Kroner through even the past few years as he adapted to the digital communication age with ease. I know he stayed in touch with many of Brett's childhood friends, sharing wisdom with many of us, as he did with me. My family has a memory of Mr. Kroner that we talked about this week, from the late 70s, when Mr. Kroner and Brett drove over from their house to ours in a convertible kit car. What a sight to see my 6 or 7 year old friend Brett, in a convertible kit car (looked like an old Model T Ford) and his Dad driving around the neighborhood having a laugh and sharing it with all of us.

Mr. Kroner was a man who sucked the marrow out of life.

What an amazing mentor. A real loss for Brett and family, and for all of us.
