Yitzhak Eliasoff

Yitzhak Eliasoff married for over 60 years to his loving wife Leslie Meldman Eliasoff. Father to Daniel (Elline) Eliasoff, Diki (Daniel) Strul. Loving Grandfather to Sivan, Maya, Tera, Alon, Eidan and Lihi.
Yitzhak had a brilliant career serving Israel and the country he loved. After his army service, Yitzhak completed his law degree in 1960, and while many of his peers pursued independent legal practices, he viewed his career as a dedicated civil service. He began his professional journey as a young attorney with the Civil Service Commission, where he worked in various roles.
In 1969, he was appointed as a registrar at the regional labor court in Jerusalem, a position he held until 1976. During this time, he gained expertise in labor law, establishing himself as a leading professional in the field. In 1976, his career took another significant step when he was appointed as the legal advisor to two subcommittees in the Israeli parliament (Knesset), a role he fulfilled with distinction until 1982.
In 1982, Yitzhak was invited to join the Ministry of Justice, initially as chief counsel and advisor to the minister. His expertise and leadership led to his appointment as deputy attorney general, where he played a crucial role advising the government and overseeing investigations into a wide range of state affairs.
His distinguished career continued in the judiciary, and in 1989, he was appointed a judge with the National Labor Court. In 1997, he ascended to the position of vice-president of the National Labor Court, a role he held until his retirement. In addition to his judicial responsibilities, Yitzhak also contributed to legal education, teaching as an adjunct professor at the Hebrew University School of Law.
