My condolences to the whole family. I knew Rachel from Warren Park Little League. She was always committed to helping the kids have a great experience & involved to make baseball fun for everyone & made an impact on the league. May she rest in peace.

Rachel was one of the most amazing humans I have ever known. No matter what may have been going on, I don’t recall a single time she didn’t grace us all with her infectious smile and love of life. Jeremy, Georgie and Weezy you all have been a huge part of our family since the first day Dylan and Georgie met over 7 years ago. It’s been our honor to know your mom and wife and her strength and love of life will endure through all who knew her.

As a parent with young children I find myself thinking about that stage of my life quite often and one memory that constantly pops up is carpool to school. Rachel was part of the west Lincoln Park group and thus part of the morning routine for several years during grade school. Her entrances were unique: slow, laden with stuff, mostly punctual, and occasionally dramatic. But always with humor - even at that young age Rachel put smiles on our face, took the ribbing in stride, and gave it right back to us.

And that same smile and laughter remained present over the years. Though we only saw each other at reunions and random class gatherings, Rachel always made it feel like only a few days had passed since the last conversation, not the few years (or more) it actually was. As adults we connected a bit over yoga - encouraging me to keep going and try different classes (aka way more challenging). So I will surely be thinking about her from now on when I practice. May her strength and good nature be remembered by all.

We are so very sorry to hear of Rachel’s passing. We were good friends when our kids were toddlers and lost touch over the years. She was such a warm and loving person. I will never forget her. My heart goes out to Jeremy and the kids and anyone who loved her.

Rachel lit up the room with her love, compassion, and humour. I remember meeting Rachel as a young girl who made me belly laugh with her chiding of her brother, Seth. She was so on the mark and we could not stop laughing. She was always on the mark, she got it. As Rachel grew, we witnessed her compassion as she gave always to others by raising money for MS, taking the time to support me during my sister's illness, and starting the foundation to involve and support girls in baseball. She became a teacher of yoga and primary students, an honorary profession giving back to the community. Her force of life made the world a better place. Rachel's love was generous and caring. a warm blanket that wrapped around you. She gave this love freely and most exquisitely to her husband, Jeremy and most importantly to her beautiful children, Georgie and Ouisie of whom she was so proud. We are better for having Rachel in our lives and she will always be in our hearts. Love, Linda, Glenn, and Christie.

Rachel and I grew up together on Dayton street, share the same birthday and went to school together for 14 years. Rachel is a part of so many of my memories- as entrepreneurial tweens we started a babysitters club, played softball together at Oz Park, helped to choreograph an Austin Powers dance for the Santa Claus Party at Parker and had joint birthday celebrations.
As adults, our oldest children were born within a few months of one another and Rachel was a refuge for me during those tough first months. She gathered a group of new moms together and rallied us to share in the joy and commiseration of early motherhood.
When I think of Rachel, I think of silliness, grit, creativity, coziness, go-getter and most of all, the profound love she had for her friends, family and life. May memory forever be a blessing.

Our condolences to the whole family. Our prayers for Jeremy and the kids to find strength. We knew Rachel when our kids were friends in preschool. She always had the brightest smile. We lost touch over the years, but our paths crossed again amongst friends we have in common. Rachel hadn’t changed at all. May she Rest In Peace.

I remember taking Juniper to one of Weezy’s birthday parties at their house. There was pony rides and so much fun! I think there was a rogue raccoon in some container out back, plenty of drinks, snacks, and wonderful conversation. Your family has always exuded warmth and good times and I’ve been grateful for that in our community. We are sending all our love to your family.
Best,

Rachel coached my son, Xavier, on the Space Cowboys baseball team in 2022 at Warren Park. It was his favorite year of baseball, and she was his favorite coach. In the years that followed we always talked about how we wished he was on her team again; she got the kids to be engaged and interested and to understand the game. This is such a tragic loss, I am so very sorry for your loss. We will keep your family and especially her kids in our prayers.
