OBITUARY

Nancy Mann (née Regenstreif), 86, of Glencoe, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was the beloved wife of Sheldon Mann, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage. She was the cherished daughter of the late Nathan and the late Irene Smulyan Regenstreif and the sister of Isaac Regenstreif (Dana Herbert) and the late Lynn (the late Marvin) Silberman.

Nancy was a devoted mother to Robert (Dorsey) Mann and Liz (Jeffrey) Wellek, and a loving former mother-in-law to Lisa Solomon. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren. She was a doting grandmother to Lila (Jake) Wilk, Ryan (Alexis) Mann, Henry Mann, Nathan (Jessica) Wellek, Jon Wellek (fiancée Ellie Cord), and Ben Wellek.

Nancy's family was the center of her life. She took enormous pride in her children and grandchildren and found tremendous happiness in being part of their lives, celebrating their accomplishments, sharing their milestones, and cherishing time together. She will be remembered for the love, warmth, and devotion she gave so generously to those around her.

The family would like to acknowledge and express their heartfelt gratitude to Nancy’s wonderful caregivers, who cared for her with extraordinary kindness and devotion over many years: Marge and Oliver Vidal, Madelyn Bagao and Eva Benitez. Their compassion, dedication, and friendship meant so much to Nancy and her entire family.

The family wishes that memorial contributions be made to North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Road, Highland Park, Illinois 60035, www.nssbethel.org or Jewish United Fund, Ben Gurion Way, 30 South Wells Street, Chicago, Illinois 60606, www.juf.org in Nancy's memory.
