I remember Ethel from my student teaching days at Wicker Park Elementary School. She was a patient, kind, and xaring mentor. Helpful in so many ways to a young novice just starting my teaching career. I admired her as a person and as an educator. She was a credit to her profession. Marla Hara

I remember as a child coming to the house with my Mom for dinner, and how welcome Ethel would make one feel. Also the great cherry pie that she baked. She always had a smile, loved and was very proud of her family. May She Rest In Peace, and May Her Memory Be For Blessings.

I met Ethel when I was a teacher at Wicker Park Elementary School(now called Pritzker Elementary School). She was so funny and kind. She was upbeat, friendly, and loved her friends and family. There was a group of us who met regularly for years after we left Wicker Park and CPS and she was part of that group. I have so many wonderful memories of Ethel and that time period in my life.
