Sunday morning breakfasts at their home in Glenview, the best multi level jello molds ever, the aunt who was always genuinely interested to hear about what was new in my life. W spent some time with her when we were in Chicago last May. She was thrilled to see us and, as always, sad that we didn't have longer to stay. I realize I'm not the only one but I feel horribly cheated that she didn't manage to surpass her mother's time on earth. Anticipated or not, this has simply crushed us. Our condolences for her wonderful family and friends.

Dear Paula, Pete, Diane & Gail - I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Watching the service and your beautiful tributes has brought up many, many memories, along with the realization that I've known you for something like 60 years! I was particularly struck by Pete's observation that "her trademark was her smile." Indeed it was. But it wasn't just hers, it was all of you too. As a child, I suspected your parents had put clothespins on the corners of your mouths as babies, to give you perpetual smiles. Your parents seem to have given you the rare combination of deep, unconditional love and a strong personal/moral code, making you all into the people you (and your children and grandchildren(!)) are today. The reasons for the smiles are clear - and it wasn't clothespins. My thoughts are with you. Susan
