When your Mom, Nomi was born, I was already living with Bubie Gitel as were Gish & Harold. I was 7 years old. Nomi was a twin, but only she was brought home. I was fascinated with her. I followed Gish around like a faithful hound because baby Nomi was something to behold. The feedings, the baths. the diaper changes; I couldn’t get enough. The only thing I gritted my teeth at was bedtime for baby Nomi. Gish was tone deaf. She couldn’t sing a thing in tune, so I started bellowing out the melodies hoping to give the baby a chance to hear it right!! Gish gave me the word that we were trying to put the baby to sleep. not wake her up. After that, I did what I could, and snuck in what melodies I could to keep her on the right key. I think I did good! Those special feelings for her never changed
