I am SO sad to hear of Luella’s passing. I have enjoyed her for visits for over thirty years. The past 4 1/2 years have been extra special for me. We have had such good times together. Sharing many stories, discussions and laughter together. She would do and say things that would remind me of my own mother which warmed my heart. I have been blessed to have been asked to be with her all these extra times. I will miss her dearly and will keep in my heart always. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole wonderful Schneider family.

A letter to Luella:,

We have shared our love for each other for 81 years. We had many crazy times together especially on Jeri and Willy's boat and on your boat. Our Friday night dinners at each others home were always delicious, of course we had to bring Heidi our dog because Alan liked the dog . Our memory scrubbing the patio floor on our hands and knees in your Lake Worth condo. We were driven to get the filthy floor clean before Alan arrived from Chicago. We laughed about this for many years. Our knees and backs were broken but we were young and innocent. We loved taking care of each other kids when we went our vacations. Of course I had to bring every dress Ellen had in the closet, no long pants or tee shirts. This was a NO NO in your vocabulary. We loved watching Alan hide the boys shoes when they left them around the house. Of course they always were sticking out of the bottom of the drapes so they could find their shoes. I could go on and on but i will run out of space. I am the luckiest woman to have you for a sister. We shared an abundance of secrets, this is what sisters are suppose to do. Alan and you had a wonderful life together and you have 3 of the most loving and caring children including Susan.
Susan made sure you had your weekly dinners at both of their homes and many shopping trips to Marmi shoes in Florida and the Avenue Shop in Northbrook. Love you. Elaine

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was clearly a deeply loved woman who meant so much to so many people, as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time and sending my heartfelt condolences.
