Dear All,

Stephen has been a great friend and collaborator in the insurance industry with me for over 20 years --- and will sorely missed! His energy, insights, and ideas were always inspiring and challenged the norm. His passing is such a shock -- but know that he was so admired within the industry and by many of us who got to know him personally over the years. My heart goes out to you all at this time. Dear Family it is with profound sadness that I join you in mourning the loss of our dear Stephen. He has been my cousin- brother for all 81 of his years of life . Our moms were sisters and best friends and we were the 2 first borns. Consequently our lives intersected at every juncture along the way, even when life took us to different cities and countries. Our bond was steadfast and we knew the best and the worst of each other. We laughed, cried rejoiced and mourned each other’s simchas and tragedies. We know each other’s stories. And through it all Stephen maintained his steadfast everloving smile. He saw solutions in darkness and incomparable joy in his family. He was creative and funny, sensitive and caring, bright and solution based. He was a gift to all and always felt like home to me. I will miss you always and I am sorry you lost this last battle. Your memory will be for a blessing to all who knew and loved you.

Dear Lily, Laur, and Jess,

There are no words that can adequately describe the deep hole we feel in our hearts. We always loved seeing Stephan when he came into Montreal even if it was just for a quick hug. Stephan will always be remembered for his warm smile and kind eyes & the way he could command a room in his own quiet way because he had the ability of making everyone around him feel seen and comfortable.
We hope you feel our deep love and support as we are tightly wrapping our arms around you.
May his memory be a blessing always.
All our love,
Randi, Robbie, Maddy, Levi & Miller

Stephen was a friend, business associate, partner in progress and a nice human being. I have so many memories of him individually and us working, traveling and collaborating together with some of the most meaningful companies and private equity partners within our business sphere. I hope this time of Stephen’s transition is one that celebrates his well lived life! He will always have a place in my heart and he will be missed. Lily, may you and your family find strength with each other's presence and have abundant energy to mourn his departure while honoring his life. Take care of yourself, Thinking of You!
