Joy and Susan, I have such fond memories of both your Mom and Dad from our get-togethers as we were growing up. Trips to Downers Grove were always a fun adventure, and I recall them whenever I am in the western suburbs. Mitzie was such a beautiful and classy lady and I'm sure she passed some of that along to you and your children and grandchildren. Remember the good times and be comforted by them. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Asher Karoll

Joy and Sue,
I have such fond memories of my family visiting yours in Downer's Grove. My parents were Esther and Buddy Lifchez and my grandfather, Meyer Handelsman, was your grandfather's brother. Your parents were so much fun to be with, and your father always delighted in Mitzi's captivating laugh and wonderful smile. I remember telling my mother that I wanted Wedgewood dishes with the little flowers just like Mitzi had---and that is exactly what I got when I was married almost 53 years ago. I was charmed by their grandson's memories of lives well lived and a legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will preserve their fine values. We hope that you will be comforted by warm memories of wonderful people. May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Love,
Elizabeth
