We encourage you to share your personal condolences and stories of Lorie Mayer below and we will share them with the family.

Dear Steve and Linda. My name is Mark Plotnick, son of the late Lillian and Samuel Plotnick. My parents were longtime friends of your folks both in Glencoe and Florida. I visited their homes both Glencoe, Miami and Naples (my wife also visited Naples). Lorie was also the communications conduit to my German Aunt, Gisela Sacks, who was married to my Uncle Ltc. Jerome Sacks who died in the mid 1970s. Gisela spoke little English. This month, I read your mom's obituary in the JUF magazine. I was so sad to learn of her passing. If I had known, we would have certainly attended any service (I have cousins who belong to Anshe Emmet) and Shiva. When my mom passed away in 2010, I lost touch with Lorie. Please send me an email. I'd like to know where she was living in recent years and what transpired. I know she was so proud of her work with the Holocaust Museum in Naples and know of your parents experience with Nazi Germany. Our deepest condolences. The death of your mother is another lost connection to the past. She was also a connection for my late mother to Gisela Sacks in Germany.
