I was so sorry to hear about Bernie's passing. I have been in touch with Carol who kept me informed of all the arrangements.
The eulogies were magnificent. Everyone did a terrific job and painted a realistic picture of who he was. Although I did not know him well, I did recognize the characteristics they mentioned.
I will never forget the day Jack was moved from the ship to the hospital in American Samoa. We did not know you well at that point since you had joined the cruise late. However, there you were, waiting on the pier as they put Jack on a stretcher and put him in the ambulance. You wished us luck at a time I needed all the support I could get.
I remember so well the beautiful parties you made. They were true "happenings."
Stay strong. I will see you when you get back to Florida.
