So sad to hear about Sharon's passing. She was a dear friend and cousin when we were kids and used to meet every Sunday in Jackson Park. The most exciting thing that Sharon ever did in terms of my life was when she and Ellis came to visit me and my husband JERRY while we were stationed in France; it was a total surprise and one of the highlights of our time in France. My condolences to you Ellis and your beautiful family.

We are truly saddened to hear this news. Sharon was part of my life from when I was in kindergarten through our daughter Elisheva's marriage.
She didn't let her handicap dim her smile, she decided to light. a candle rather than curse the darkness. She made. the darkness light.
I will always remember her.

We are very, very saddened by the passing of our dear cousin Sharon Levin. Sharon was an integral part of our formative years. When we were very young she was our babysitter, a loving but strict one at that; she then became a role model for us by her belief in and love of education; by how she thought; and by how she taught us to think through her example. Later when we became young adults we witnessed and admired her unstoppable courage and unlimited determination to face adversity literally in the face, and then to move on to make her life and the lives of all her loved ones happen. It was a fight renewed daily. We will hold Sharon with us for the rest of our lives and we will never forget her humor and good humor.
With love,
Angela and Lenny

So very saddened to learn of Sharon's passing. My heartfelt condolences to you Ellis, Eve, Becky, Ella, Ruth, Noa and Sarah.
Sharon and Ellis hold a special place in my childhood memories. As my father's first cousin, Sharon was older than me, but younger than my parents and I looked up to both her and Ellis as trailblazers, my window on a wider world waiting to be discovered. Hearing details of their trip to France enchanted me. I first learned of the Cambridge Folk Festival through them, listening to the Midnight Special. Sharon tutored me in English one summer when I was in elementary school. Today, I live in France and tutor French children, and have been to the Cambridge Folk Festival several times. No surprise then that I often think of her. Sharon's attitude towards adversity so completely represents who she was and is a fine example for all of us when times are hard. I will carry her in my memory to the end.
Sending each of you strength and comfort as you mourn her loss. Be well and take care.

Sharon was a delight to be with and she and Ellis formed a couple who had wit, intellect and humour. I remember wondering if she had passed by Haight-Ashbury during its heyday ??? She and Ellis came to dinner chez-nous in Paris she was a valiant tourist always interested and interesting.
As the years advance I admire her more and more for her
dignity, courage and spirit I wish I could have a long chat with her. She was a real trooper,,.and I salute her
