Cookie was our adventurous cousin from Chicago. I remember driving into the city to visit her as a child and later she flew to my family in Claremont, CA and most recently Portland, Oregon. I loved hearing about music, art, and the latest exhibit to hit the scene. She was warm, well read & traveled, and genuinely interested in learning about what’s “new” in my life. I spoke to Cookie a few weeks ago and she only wanted to talk about family life on the west coast. I will miss her so.

Cookie,
You are one of a kind!!! I remember the first time you drove to Portland in your station wagon to stay with us. Loved when you came to Salishan and Sun River. So many fun memories 👏🏻👏🏻 I’m so glad we recently got to see you while we were in Chicago last Sept. for the week when Megan got married. You looked so beautiful!! You always had a smile that would light up a room!!
You will be missed !!!
Sending lots of Love and Hugs
Love,

Delores was the most creative and marvelous teacher. She was teaching a unit on American Indians to 2nd graders one year. I was the music teacher. We had those kids doing tribal dances and singing correctly with help of tribal members. One would have thought we were instructing grad students. She was energy and fun. She was a wonderful friend and associate. A joy ot have known. How lucky you were to have had her as a Mom. A big hug to you all.
