Funeral Details

Edwyn Sam "Ed" Gold, 90, of Chicago and Schaumburg, passed away peacefully at Encore Village. He was the loving husband of Carrol for over 60 years. Devoted father of Dr. Naomi, Aaron (Robin), and Daniel. Proud grandpa of Jack Robert, with whom he loved to spend time in their happy place, Miami Beach. He was the loving brother of Sylvia (Morrie) Kirshner, who predeceased him, and the uncle of Earl (Kathy), and Julian Kirshner. He was a devoted son in law to Allie Mae Bosma ("the toughest person I've ever known"). Ed's family offers special thanks to the entire team at Encore Village for its continuous care and compassion, the wonderful hospice staff at Ascension Medical Group, and Dr. Monica Mahajan for exemplary medical care. Graveside service Thursday 10AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie.
