I go way back to childhood with Steve, including, but not limited to being roommates in college and running a rental house with him in college. Our friendship continued on throughout our life. His obituary says it all I can only add from my personal standpoint that he was a tremendous friend and great guy, good natured and non-judgmental of a person you could wanna be around. I’m currently missing him plenty and always look forward to having a steak dinner with Steve on his birthday or around his birthday honoring him which is coming up on November 10. Writing this is surreal to me.
I hope wherever he is, he is very comfortable and in a better place that we just don’t understand yet those who are still here. Bless his soul

My memories of Steve are from when I used to go over to their house to hang out with his daughter, Britt. He was always so generous, asking me if I wanted something to eat and then offering more even after eating. Steve was always smiling and in a good mood. My condolences go out to his family.

We didn't know Steve that well, but the few times we interacted were so positive. It was very comfortable to talk with him, and he made you feel like you've known him for a long time. Besides being Brit's dad, he helped us build a wooden fence which also included our neighbor's yard. He was helpful and caring about getting it the way we wanted! He followed up on isolated repairs after many years have gone by. Another time, we had a wonderful BBQ at my son's house, and we had so much fun! His memory will live on with all the people he had contact with because he made that kind of enduring connection! Rest in peace!

Steve, you will always be one of the greatest people I have ever known. It was an honor to have you in my life. I will miss you so very much. You were a great brother-in-law and I will always cherish that. They say, that when a cardinal shows up, it means a loved one is here. So come by and let us know that all is good…okay. Love you, Bro. ❤️❤️❤️

Dear Elise, Ashley, Britt, Cole and Daniela and extended family,
Please accept our sincere condolences . It was always wonderful seeing your family, and we always enjoyed Steve. We watched the live stream and Elise, your words were so beautiful, that for all the gifts Steve gave, HE was the gift. Those words will stay with us for a long time. We are so deeply sorry for your loss.
